Arrowhead Outfitters LLC was founded by Howard Tieden, its current president and pilot, in 1982. Howard was born and raised in Cambridge Minnesota where, as a young man, he honed his hunting and fishing skills. After graduating high school he moved to Colorado where he worked as a government trapper and founded Arrowhead Outfitters when began guiding hunters on Elk, Mule Deer and Antelope, Bear and Cougar hunts.
In 1994, after several years of visiting Texas and discovering its abundant Wild Boar, he began offering Texas Wild Boar, coyote and bobcat hunts. With his love for the outdoors and the sport of hunting and fishing, it was only natural that he would be drawn to Alaska. In 1994, he made his first road trip to “the great state” of Alaska, where, he spent the majority of his time in the Brooks Range, hunting Caribou and fishing. He repeated his sojourn to Alaska every year until he moved there in 1999, realizing a life time dream. Howard is a bush pilot and registered assistant guide in the Stat
e of Alaska and President of Arrowhead Outfitters LLC an outfitter in Colorado and Texas and registered Air Transporter and Air Taxi in Alaska. He enjoys sharing his experiences and love of the outdoors with others and helping them to realize their dreams. He is an avid bow hunter, with extensive experience in hunting white tail deer, turkeys, bear, coyote, bobcat, cougar, wild boar, and hunting and guiding all of Alaska’s big game species. He has also bow hunted big game in Africa successfully taking many big game species. He looks forward to the opportunity to take you on your next great outdoor adventure in Alaska, Colorado or Texas.

In the State of Colorado, Arrowhead Outfitters is licensed outfitter #1072 and in the State of Alaska, Arrowhead Outfitters LLC is registered transporter #854. In Texas Arrowhead Outfitters maintains all of the appropriate permits and licenses for conducting its hunts.
What a pleasure to meet you two in Happy Valley last month. Kyle and I had an adventure of a lifetime. I sure hope to launch more adventures out of Happy Valley in the future.
